The Clearlight® Red Light Therapy Core Tower was designed to mount inside our saunas and targets the body's core, emitting red light and near infrared wavelengths. It delivers a wide range of benefits in a compact, portable and versatile design.

How our red light therapy tower works in your sauna:

The Clearlight® Red Light Core Tower is fitted with high-quality LED light sources developed specifically to deliver light of particular wavelengths to the body. Clearlight developed Variable Optics™ technology to optimise light distribution, allowing higher light absorption and therefore a more efficient session.

Unlike competing products that use a single optical output at a 30° angle, our innovative red light therapy tower offers multiple angles for optimal light distribution.

Another advantage: our Clearlight® red light therapy towers can also be used as a standalone therapy device outside your sauna.

Red light therapy doesn’t rely on heat. It works by using specific wavelengths of light from LEDs to deliver photobiological energy to skin cells. You may feel a slight, gentle warmth on the skin, but it isn’t intended to heat the body, cause sweating, or act like a heat lamp.

Frequently asked questions

Why do we need red light?

When we think of nourishment for the body, we usually think of food. Food is essential for our survival. But we also need light for our bodies, just as we need food. Red light can be seen as nourishment for the body. Above all, the body needs light of specific wavelengths. Our body produces important elements by absorbing certain wavelengths of light, such as vitamin D, which the body makes when it is in the sun. Red light and near infrared promote the production of important elements such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which increases the energy in our cells and drives many processes in the body. By using red light frequently, we can artificially energise the cells in our body. The benefits are enormous and the research runs deep.

Can the Clearlight® red light tower be integrated into every Clearlight® infrared sauna?

The Clearlight® red light tower can be integrated into every Clearlight® infrared sauna. Because of the size of the Sanctuary Yoga model, we recommend moving the movable bench closer to the red light tower to get the full benefit of a red light session.

For the Sanctuary Yoga and the Sanctuary Corner, an electrician must also be consulted, as the total electrical load exceeds 16 A.

If you already use the 300 W full spectrum heater upgrade in your cabin, you cannot use the red light at the same time, because both upgrades share the same socket and the same mount on the door.

Can I use the red light tower outside the sauna too?

Yes. The CORE Tower works without a stand: mount it in any Clearlight® sauna, hang it on a wall or lay it on its side and use it as a standalone therapy device in the living room or bedroom. Power supply 100 to 240 V, 200 W, weight 6.6 kg.

Does the red light tower produce heat like an infrared heater?

No. The tower uses medical-grade LEDs that emit red light and near infrared without noticeably warming the cabin. It complements the infrared heat of your sauna but does not replace it.

Can I use the red light tower together with the mini full spectrum heater?

Not at the same time. Both upgrades use the same mount on the door and the same socket in the cabin. You can own both and switch between sessions.

Do I need to protect my eyes while using the red light?

Eye protection is not required when using the Clearlight® red light tower, but you may find the intensity of the light uncomfortable. When you first switch the device on, your eyes need a moment to adjust to the strong light output. We recommend looking away or closing your eyes, then opening them slowly so they can adapt. Looking directly into the LEDs is not recommended.

Does a red light tower affect the EMF levels in the infrared sauna?

Every device that uses electricity produces some electromagnetic radiation (EMF and ELF). Thanks to its unique and careful design, however, the red light tower has no measurable EMF emissions at the minimum usage distance of 10 to 15 cm.

What warranty applies to the red light tower?

5 years on workmanship and electrical components for private use, 2 years for commercial use. The full terms are in the user manual.

As a result of an incident outside of my control all of the electrical wiring in my sauna was damaged. When assessed my an electrician I was initially told the sauna was a write off. Rightfully, insurance should have replaced the sauna or wiring, but they wouldn’t. I spoke to Sascha from the clearlight customer service team and the assistance I received was exceptional. Sascha was extremely proactive, going above and beyond the standard expected. Not only did Sascha find a solution for my problem but more impressively a solution that did not leave me out of pocket. At a time when customer service is generally pretty ordinary across the board. Sascha is setting the gold standard of what customer service should be. Experiences like this is what keeps customers coming back.

I have the Yoga Sanctuary Sauna for a few years now and it has been a incredible tool in my Health management...truly now I can’t see myself without it!
